Mixie stores your account email, the mixes you create and aggregate view counts. Playback uses YouTube’s official embedded player; Mixie never downloads or hosts video. We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising.
2. What we collect
Account: the email address, name and profile picture your sign-in provider (Google, or email) gives us, handled by Clerk. Mixes: the topic text you enter and the playlist Mixie generates from it. Billing: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers; card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and never reach Mixie. Views: a per-mix counter with no record of who watched. Errors: when something fails we record the technical details of the failure (route, error message, mix identifier) in Sentry so we can fix it. Traffic: Vercel Analytics gives us aggregate page views without cookies or per-visitor profiles.
3. How we use it
To sign you in, generate and store your mixes, enforce plan limits, bill paid plans, show view counts, keep the service running and investigate failures. We do not use your data to train models.
4. Services that process data for us
Clerk (sign-in and accounts), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Railway (database and transcript worker), Sentry (error reports), and AI model providers used to pick video segments: Groq, Cerebras and Vercel AI Gateway, which routes to OpenAI and Anthropic models. The model providers receive the topic you entered and public transcript text; they never receive your account details. YouTube’s embedded player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com and is governed by Google’s privacy policy when you press play.
5. Cookies
Clerk sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The YouTube player may set its own cookies once you start playback.
6. Retention
Free-plan mixes expire and are deleted 30 days after creation unless pinned or added to the public catalogue. Account data is kept while your account exists. Stripe billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Error reports are kept for 90 days.
7. Your rights
You can view and delete your mixes from the dashboard. To export or delete your account, or to ask what we hold about you, email [CONTACT EMAIL]. If you are in the UK, EU or California you have statutory rights of access, correction, deletion and objection; we honour them for everyone.
8. Children
Mixie is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
